If company blog posts aren’t your style, then consider working on ebooks instead. With Amazon and other websites around, self-publishing has never been easier than it is today. If you think you’ve got something interesting, useful, and worthwhile to say—and if you believe other people will think so, too—then writing ebooks could become a lucrative business.   
The majority of companies in our research do take a strategic approach to digital. From talking to companies, I find the creation of digital plans often occurs in two stages. First, a separate digital marketing plan is created. Sure, your website might look beautiful on desktop, but if it’s impossible to navigate on mobile, you’ll end up alienating a significant percentage of your web traffic. At a minimum, you should have a mobile-responsive website, but ideally your mobile experience should be specifically designed to facilitate an effortless mobile experience (not just an adapted version of your desktop experience).

If you're serious about making money online, start a blog. Blogging is one of the easiest and most sustainable income sources. As long as the blog is setup the right way, in the right niche, with the right content targeted at the right audience, and the offer is complementary to the content, you could make a tremendous amount of passive income from a blog.

Spend 70 percent of your budget on avenues that you already know are effective, with the remaining 20 percent focusing on safe new options and 10 percent on experimental channels. 47 percent of your budget should focus on SEO and SEM, with 10 percent targeting mobile marketing and 34 percent dedicated to display advertising.
