I would much rather go back to cleaning a gym than offering some crappy dieting product that doesn’t work. I know a lot of people reading this need to make a bit of extra income quickly, but it’s very important to not ruin your blog’s long term brand and image over a few quick dollars. Even if you have to work a basic entry job offline for a while it’s a much better option.
One great way to stimulate more/new traffic is to offer some of your content exclusively to your subscribers. People love to feel special and when you tell them that only they (the subscribers) are going to receive the “best of the best” information, they’re more likely to opt in. Nurture these individuals through consistent e-mails that deliver what has been promised.

Find an audience for your passion or hobby and you’re all set to make money online doing something you love via a niche website. That of course, is easier said than done. Creating a profitable niche website takes time and is not intended for the faint of heart. But, if you can hurdle the steep challenges and positively answer a few key questions on whether the website business idea you’re thinking about is profitable, then you can begin building it and eventually monetize through advertising, affiliates, or other relevant products.

I absolutely love this concept of writers helping writers! Thank you for all of your digital support and kind commentary. You are the queen of blog info on the web. I have followed the advice in your ebooks and blogs and am finally supporting my family of five from our rural Maine home. I can’t thank you enough! I have linked to your site in my blog.

Have a strategy for content promotion. With the massive amounts of content that are created every day, it’s not enough to just publish and hope that your audience will find it. When considering the top content marketing tips for you, always remember that you need a strategy to bring people to your content. Every site’s strategy is different. Some use paid promotion on social networks, others work through influencer marketing or another path. The important thing is that you have a plan to add audience.
Create guest blog posts. Invite a guest blogger to write on your site or contribute guest posts to another site. When you publish guest posts, it’s an easy way to create content with minimal effort. When you contribute a guest post yourself, it exposes you to a new audience and boosts your SEO. For instance, here’s a guest post I wrote for HubSpot about curating B2B content.

Kevan Lee of Buffer says in “Collaboration Tools for Social Media Teams: You Don’t Have to Do It All Alone” that the best way to generate a wide array of ideas is to collaborate on the brainstorming process: “Taking a team approach to filling a queue or managing a social channel is a splendid way of saving time on social media. You don’t have to do it all yourself. Others have amazing ideas and content to share. And of course, having the smoothest tools makes social media collaboration even easier.” Lee recommends using a tool such as Google Docs, Trello, or Dropbox to keep a running list of ideas from everyone involved in the content creation process.

I had a blog a couple years ago in a pretty precise niche (female musicians), too precise maybe. I had like 20 readers! Now I’d like to try again with another topic but I’m afraid there’s way too much blogs about it already (hippie lifestyle including health, fashion, decor, beauty, printables, etc). I tried checking stats and keywords but I don’t understand any of the information I’m getting. I’d rather pay someone to do the research for me but I have no money. The other thing is that I’m not an expert in anything. The hippie lifestyle thing is the only topic I can think of that would generate more than two article ideas in my brain! Do you think there are solutions for someone in my situation ?
I’m inspired! Thank you tremendously for this post. I burned out of corporate American two years ago and dreamed of my own freelance contracting business but gave up that hope quickly. Reading your post, I’ve decided to pick up my blogging mantle again and pursue this dream once more. My little personal blog has been a mess, but this post of yours has already steered me in better directions than any others I’ve read. I’m a subscriber now. You rawk! 😀
26. Services – You can offer a paid service, such as life coaching, blog coaching, goal setting or financial planning. Just be sure to investigate all the legal implications and make sure you’re not claiming to be a professional if you’re not one. With a service like this, you’re basically using your blog to sell yourself. You’ll need to convince people that you’re worth buying and then be able to back up your claims once they purchase your service.
It goes hand in hand with content sharing, social content marketing, social media, copywriting, visual content, you name it. Storytelling is also closely related with word-of-mouth, recommendations and the simple act of sharing and connecting, since long before digital marketing, let alone content marketing even existed. We know why: storytelling is one of the most human ways of passing along knowledge and traditions, mesmerizing audiences and, in fact, human nature as such. What does storytelling mean in a content marketing context? Below are a few resources on storytelling and content marketing.
JVZoo was founded in 2011 and has since rocketed to near the top as one of the most popular affiliate programs out there. JVZoo is unusual in that there are no upfront costs for either publishers or merchants (advertisers). JVZoo’s income is exclusively from charging fees (to both the merchant and the affiliate) after a sale has been made. It is also unusual in that it pays commissions “instantly” via PayPal rather than once a week/fortnight/month like other affiliate programs.
